Literature invites students to explore the world of art, literature, and life’s big questions. The unique organization around clusters of standards allows for the teaching of major literary concepts across genre. Standards that belong together are taught together. Students analyze fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, and media across clusters of standards. Special features support
visual and media literacy, along with research strategies.

1. Go to www.classzone.com
2. Click on Language Arts, Middle School in Step1.
3. In Step 2, scroll down and click on Delaware.
4. In Step 3, Click on GO!
5. Click on the first book. It is the one with the Yellow header and the gray tree.
6. This is the student tool box. Feel free to check it out and play the games.
7. Scroll down to “Online Book” and click.
8. This is the copywrite page. Check the box “Don’t show me this message again” and then ACCEPT.
9. If this is your first time, click on “Create Student Account” underNew Visitor.
10. Enter the access code for our book. 4445399-30
11. Enter your birthday including the year. (there is a drop down screen to make it easy)
12.You will now come to the create a student account page. “Tell us about yourself”
13.To keep it uniform with school files:
User name: firstnamelastname
Example:shannondennis
Password: Student I.D (this can be found on your schedule or lunch card)
Example:098876
14.Write down your user name and password. (or if you are at home, print the screen with that information.
